Sporting Clube de Portugal, popularly known as Sporting Lisboa , is one of the most historic and important clubs in Portuguese and European football. Founded in 1906, the club is based in Lisbon and plays its matches at the iconic José Alvalade Stadium , a temple of football that has seen some of the sport's greatest legends.
